Nuit des Cordes 2022 performance :)

I'm a little sad my first NDC as a performer couldn't be in person, but Omicron dashed that hope pretty quick! I'm grateful that the organizers took it online again so we could still get together and watch some incredible rope, even if virtually.

Here's what I had to throw into the mix - my favourite 'self ties as self care' self suspension sequence. A tight harness wrapped from waist to knee, a nice streeetch, and playing around with levels.

I'm really proud of how far my self ties have come during the pandemic. I used to be convinced that I would never be able to have as much fun doing rope by myself as I do with others, but this past year has shown me that just because it's different doesn't mean it's impossible to make fun again.

One of the things that makes that possible for me is just slowing the hell down lol. I used to rush to get to the suspension part of self-ties, forgetting that even though I love suspension what I love about rope is the entire process from start to finish, the care it takes, the set up and take down, the understanding of the limitations of my body and strength. So uh, if you're in a hurry, you can always check the video player settings to speed things up a bit. :)
